Krape Park

Explore beautiful Krape Park, awarded “Outstanding Multi-use Facility” by the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association. Little Cubs Field

Experience big league fun at Little Cubs Field! This faithful replica of Chicago’s famous Wrigley Field pays tribute to a great American team and the great American game. Notice the brick walls, model scoreboard, marquee and left field bleachers when you visit this miniature reproduction. Little Cubs Field opened in 2008 after the community came together to build a place “where grown-ups can be kids and kids can be grown-ups.” Reserve the field for your events on the website.

Read Park Sports & Pool

Silver Creek Museum + Antique Steam Train

ALL ABOARD! During the warmer seasons, the Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad offers passengers a four-mile ride on the 36 ton 1912 Heisler steam locomotive. Purchase tickets at the Silver Creek Depot, browse the museum and gift shop and experience the 130 ton Cooper Corliss Steam Engine and its 25’ fly wheel!

In October, from 6 PM – 10 PM on Saturday nights, the train becomes the Train of Terror for a frightful tour between spooky scenes.
